Drifting Away

Well, it's just another day in Wisconsin, sitting here watching the driveway drift shut.  We had another light snow overnight on Thursday and today the twenty mph winds are creating some mighty creative sculptures.

In particular, the drift behind the house is making my bird watching a lot more difficult.   Yesterday I could still see the bird feeder hanging from the trellis but------

Today, it's disappearing fast!

Oh, dear.   There's a bird feeder behind there somewhere.

Time to fire up the shovel.

Oh My! That big curving drift reminds me of the Sahara Desert. Stay warm and safe.

Yep, this is very familiar. ;-) But just think about all the sweet little plants about to wake up under that beautiful snow! And meteorological spring is only two weeks away!

So glad to see your posts! I just got caught up on all the developments with potential house renovations. That is certainly going to be one big project.

I used to love looking at the snow drifts that the wind made, they were always so incredible. Sure it made more shoveling work and packed in the snow, but it sure was pretty.

We've been watching all the storms pass through our old stomping grounds in North Dakota and figured that you were going to have a snowy winter as well. Best of luck on all the shoveling!

As much as I dislike snow, those drifts you captured are just amazingly beautiful.
Feeding birds gives you hours of entertainment watching them. I wish we had Cardinals in Seattle, they look great against the virginal snow.
