Well, this week has just been flying by! I didn't realize how long I'd been gone until I heard from some of my concerned blogging friends, asking if I survived the weekend. (I'm always so amazed by my blog friends, I truly am, they are so kind.)
Let's see if I can bring you up to date in less than a bazillion words. You may remember that I went shopping for the Perfect Class Reunion Outfit last week, and had no luck finding it. So then it was off to my sewing machine. Last Friday night I whipped up a black jacket (because we all know that black is very slimming, yeah, sure it is, ha) and put lace sleeves in it to make it more dressy and to hopefully make it cooler, because I envisioned I'd be dancing a lot.) I don't know where I get these visions from, because that didn't happen, but I'm getting ahead of myself again. First, I have just got to show the pictures of the wedding!
I sewed until late in the evening/early in the morning on Saturday and when the sun came up, Carl and I headed out to pick up all the branches and debris that the winds of the day before had ripped off the trees. (Especially poor Willie the Willow, wow, he had a lot of branches strewn all over the place.) Joel came home from work and quickly mowed the lawn and we did some last minute weeding and deadheading. We were able to get the yard picked up just before the wedding party arrived.
The bride was a neighbor of ours. We've known Jill since she was a pretty little girl and seeing her on her wedding day was such a special treat for us. She was a Gorgeous Bride!
The Groom, Casey, and the rest of the wedding party were very good-looking, too!

Congratulations, Jill and Casey!
Our best wishes to the happy couple as they begin their new life together!
P.S. We have been working as hard as we can on the Stone Thingie, Carl has been on vacation since Tuesday at noon, so we're just going all out to see what we can get done before the snow flies. Update on that very soon!

Good morning Karen,
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful bride and wedding party. The photographs are gorgeous. The garden looks stunning as always. Now don’t let Carl work you too hard moving those rocks!
Take care
Sue
What a beautiful bride, handome groom and lovely wedding party. The color scheme was absolutely wonderful, one of the prettiest I've ever seen.
I wish them much joy and happiness.
Your gardens look wonderful as always, even after a windstorm. It looks like you had plenty of color for the happy event.

Gorgeous wedding photos! You can feel the joy radiating from their smiles. I'm certain they truly appreciated having your garden as their beautiful backdrop to their most important day. You are so sweet to share your garden like you do. Looking forward to the update! What a "vacation"!
What a beautiful wedding party. Those dresses are the perfect fall color in your garden.
You made a jacket in just one day? Wow! You have some great sewing skills as well as gardening. I hope we get to see your wedding outfit.
Wonderful abundance and exuberance - happy looking wedding party. Weather to match.
stunning photos! and how unusual to have the bridal party spread out among the rocks - I love it!
Your garden is the perfect setting for the wedding photos...Wow!
What a beautiful wedding and the pictures are so fantastic. Your garden makes a wonderful setting for a wedding.
The landscaping is perfect or a wedding or for ANY gathering! So beautiful. I love, love, love it when there are weddings like this and the bride lets the natural landscape be her "decorations" for the most part. Nothing beats nature.

I am wondering how many hours are in your days. I think it must be more than are in mine.
